Proper aftercare is one of the most important parts of achieving beautiful healed results. Please follow these instructions carefully after your appointment.
Gently wash your brows 2 to 3 times a day using a gentle cleanser such as Cetaphil or CeraVe with lukewarm water. Pat dry only. Do not rub.
Apply a rice-grain amount of ointment after each wash. Use a very thin layer only. Do not over-apply.
Avoid sweating, steam, swimming, saunas, tanning beds, direct water pressure, makeup on the brows, exfoliating products, retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and anti-aging products near the brow area.
Your brows may look darker, bolder, or more intense immediately after your appointment. This is completely normal and part of the healing process.
Mild tenderness, redness, swelling, and a darker brow color are normal at first. As the brows heal, they will soften and lighten. Some patchiness or unevenness may appear during healing.
Full healing usually takes 4 to 6 weeks. During this time, the color may fade, appear lighter, look patchy, or temporarily disappear before returning as the skin heals. The final healed result is only visible after the full healing process is complete. A touch-up appointment is recommended to perfect the shape, color, and retention.
While mild redness, swelling, tenderness, and flaking are expected during healing, any severe or unexpected reaction should be evaluated by a licensed healthcare provider. If symptoms worsen or you suspect an infection, seek medical attention immediately and contact BrowSculptNYC for guidance.
